Code of Conduct
We, the Niceville Valparaiso Little League, have implemented the following Player of Conduct for the important message it holds about the proper behavior of players in our league. Players and their parents should read and understand this policy prior to participating in our league. Any player guilty of improper conduct at any game or practice will be asked to leave the sports facility and be suspended from the following game. The NVLL Board of Directors will review all infractions. Depending on the severity or frequency, the NVLL Board may assess additional disciplinary action up to and including expulsion from the NVLL.
Preamble
The essential elements of character-building and ethics in sports are embodied in the concept of sportsmanship and six core principles: Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring and Good Citizenship.
Therefore I Agree:
· I will remember that games are played for fun!
· I will display good sportsmanship ahead of my own personal desire to win.
· I will demonstrate good sportsmanship regardless of the score by acting in a positive manner towards all players, umpires, parents,
team parents, and coaches.
· I will show respect to all umpires, coaches, team parents, players, and parents and never act in a manner that would be disrespectful
toward them.
· I will not use drugs, tobacco or alcohol at any NVLL practice or game and will remind others on my team not to do so.
· I will shake hands with the other team at the conclusion of all games.
